5 Fabulous Fall Baby Shower Themes

Autumn is such a beautiful season for gatherings! I always get excited at the first signs of colorful leaves and pumpkin patches. With so much natural beauty happening around us, it is easy to take our cues from this golden season, and choose a theme for a cozy baby shower.

1) Little Pumpkin

Pumpkins are EVERYWHERE this time of year! So, naturally, a “Little Pumpkin” theme is a simple and festive theme for a baby shower in the fall. And pumpkins are so versatile as decoration! They can be spray painted or speckled with glitter; they can be tied up with a burlap bow or a fluffy piece of tulle. Or set up a “decorate a pumpkin” table for guests to make their own! Whether you’re going for farmhouse simplicity or gender-specific sparkly pink, there is a pumpkin theme look for you!

2) Apple of Our Eye

Combining this sweet phrase with this sweet seasonal fruit makes for a lovely (and delicious!) baby shower theme! Stack a display of apple cider donuts in lieu of a traditional cake, and set up a caramel apple bar with plenty of sweet and salty toppings. With all the variety of apples available, you can incorporate all those lovely red and gold autumn colors into your decor.

3) Woodland Creatures

Little foxes and fawns, raccoons and owls. Throw a whimsical, woodsy baby shower with sprigs of greenery, moss, and pinecones placed around the tables. Set up a brunch buffet with waffles and parfaits, including toppings characteristic of the forest: like nuts and berries. Try making some homemade granola as another topping for yogurt, or wrap up a serving in a cute bag as a favor for guests to take home.

4) Football Star

Fall is the start of football season as much as it is the start of pumpkin spice latte season. If the mom-to-be is expecting a little all star, a football theme party might be the way to go! It’s the perfect setup for a co-ed baby shower as well. Keep it casual and comfortable with bowls of chili, cold beer, and a few fun games.

5) Vintage Cowboy (or Cowgirl)

Set out some bales of hay and get the tiniest pair of cowboy boots you can find! A vintage cowboy shower is a sweet country theme and it’s another great option if you’re hosting a co-ed baby shower. Serve some turkey chili, baked beans, and fresh cornbread muffins. Decorate the tables with little pails of peanuts for guests to snack on.
