7 Sweet Baby Girl Shower Themes

A new baby girl is on the way, and you’re in charge of planning the shower! Baby showers are some of the most exciting reasons to throw a party, but all the ideas on the internet can leave your head swimming for days! I have rounded up seven of the sweetest, perfectly girly baby shower themes!

1. A Sweet Baby Girl is Brewing

A classic tea party themed shower is oh so perfect for welcoming a baby girl, and could easily be held in your home or at a local tea house! It combines delicate, dainty details with a fun, whimsical vibe. Set the tone for your guests with an adorable, themed invitation. I love the idea of filling teapots and pitchers with beautiful pink and white flowers, while tea sandwich trays make for functional table decor. Check out this list of tea sandwich recipes that are simple and delicious.

Asking friends and family members to lend their tea sets will add a special element to your shower and will add the perfect color and pattern mixing that a tea party is asking for! A delicate tea satchel full of loose leaf tea is the perfect favor to send home with your guests.

2. Sweet succulent

The ever trendy succulent makes the perfect starting place for a sweet baby girl shower. The sage green pairs perfectly with dusty pink to create a warm and chic event to honor a mama-to-be. Table decor can be simple and understated using pops of pink, dried flowers and of course succulents!

Add even more pops of pink by using pink tinted glassware to fill with a pink signature drink like this simple, but delicious pink pineapple lemonade.

And to top it all off, the perfect favor is of course an adorable baby succulent for each guest! Add a thank you tag and some ribbon and your friends and family can think of you each time they see it in their home.

3. Pretty in Pink

A Pretty in Pink shower is the perfect excuse to go all out for a sweet baby girl shower. It’s a chance to go overboard on everything pink and girly! It should feel like a pink explosion, and a floral and pink invitation is the perfect starting point.

When it comes to decor – the more pink the better! Pink linen tablecloths and napkins and fresh flowers in all shades of pink accented with gold will give your party the perfect glam feel.

A very pink balloon garland on a fun accent wall adds even more decor and creates an amazing photo op for the mama to be and all her sweet guests. One last way to make sure pink is incorporated everywhere possible is to make a menu that is full of sweet and savory pink treats. Check out these 50 easy and delicious pink themed recipes that will take your shower over the top! My favorite is the juicy watermelon salad – it is so beautiful and is the perfect light fare!

4. A Wildflower is on the way!

This is hands down my favorite girly shower theme because wildflowers are just so effortlessly elegant. So, break out your mason jars and bud vases to create beautiful tablescapes. Many local grocery stores sell the perfect flowers to fill the tables – look for anemones, cosmos and daisies and add in lavender, thistles, and greenery for a wild look.

I think an impressive detail to add to any party is to match the food to the theme. For the wildflower theme, think light, crisp and bright; beautiful fruit and veggie platters and bright salads will blend perfectly with the natural beauty of the theme. A simple white cake adorned with edible flowers makes the perfect centerpiece for a dessert table.

A recent trend I have noticed and absolutely love is a bouquet bar and I can’t think of a better addition to a wildflower themed shower. Set out large vases of pre trimmed flowers and greenery, add kraft paper and twine or smaller vases and your guests can create their own beautiful bouquets to bring home. This fun bouquet bar functions as decor, activity and favor – so perfect!

5. Boho Brunch

If you’re looking for a more laid back vibe to welcome a new baby girl, grab a bunch of your best girlfriends and plan a boho brunch! When I think boho, I think muted pinks, dried flowers and pampas grass, lots of eucalyptus and fringe. For a thrifty budget hack, ask friends and family to save any bouquets they have around the time of the shower so you can dry the flowers and reuse! If weather permits, find a garden, picnic area, or backyard where you can set up long, low tables and pillows for the perfect boho feel, but make sure mama-to-be has a comfy place to sit! A rented peacock chair surrounded by florals and palms makes the perfect, special spot.

Keep the food simple and delicious. Fresh fruit, yummy pastries and charcuterie are a must. As an adorable alternative to one big charcuterie board, I suggest mini “jarcuterie” cups that make serving so much easier. Since it is a brunch party, think about including a mom-osa bar. Offer a variety of fruit juices to mix with champagne (or sparkling water) for a fun added touch!

6. Let’s Flamingle!

Is there anything cuter or more fun than a flamingo themed baby girl shower?! It takes the traditional pink theme and kicks it up a few notches! To create the perfect feel, look for all things pink and tropical like this adorable invitation.

Flamingos can be a bit kitchy, but that makes it all the more fun, and I say lean into that! Hot pink, teal, and gold make for a super fun party atmosphere to celebrate a new baby girl on the way. If you don’t have palm leaves readily available, you can make your own following this DIY tutorial and hulled out pineapples make the most adorable diy vases.

A tropical poolside has to be the best backdrop for this theme, but if you can’t swing poolside, add mini flamingo floats to your tablescape for a super cute detail! Fun and festive cookies make the perfect sweet treat and favor to send home with your guests.

7. Adventure Awaits

If the mama-to-be that you are honoring tends to have a bit of wanderlust, a travel themed shower is absolutely perfect. Becoming a new parent, whether it’s the first or last time, is one of life’s greatest adventures and this theme will embrace the sweet hopefulness that a new baby brings. Create a vintage and whimsical vibe by incorporating vintage boxes and trunks and top your tables with globes. Muted colors and greenery will add to the vintage travel feel.

Create a beautiful photo wall using a fun colored wall or backdrop. Add in soft pink flowers, greenery and vintage suitcases for some memory book worthy photos! If you’re on a DIY budget, large paper flowers can be made in lieu of using fresh. Add in foods tagged with the mama-to-be’s favorite travel destinations and you could even add in any special travel mementos.
