I absolutely LOVE my smartphone when it comes to shopping these days!

Just yesterday I was in Belk and realized I was purchasing an item that wasn’t on sale. I overheard the lady in front of me in line mention that if you “like” the store on Facebook, you would receive an instant discount. I had to try it out! I pulled out my smartphone and opened Facebook. I searched for the Belk page, and “liked” it. Then, I opened my email where there was a message from Belk with a coupon code for me to receive 25% off my purchase. I was amazed it worked so easily! In about 3 minutes I was able to find and redeem a discount! How fun is that? Many stores are offering discounts like this that you can view online and not even have to print before going into the store. What a time efficient way to save money!

At a recent BUNKO night at my house, 12 of my friends and I were sitting around talking about a wedding shower to which we had all been invited. We were discussing going in together to purchase a gift for the couple, wondering what we could get them, and where they were registered. So… I pulled out my iPhone, went to RegistryFinder.com, and typed in the bride’s name. From there, we were able to view all the stores where the couple had registered and look at the items they had put on their list. We made the decision to purchase a full set of cookware for them from Bed Bath & Beyond.  Talk about a time saver! In a little under 15 minutes, 12 women were able to make a decision to purchase a really nice gift.  I didn’t even know it was possible for a group of women to make a decision that fast! Our gift was exactly what the couple needed and wanted. It doesn’t get any better than that!

As much as I’ve always loved the mall, in my later years, I’ve been a big online shopper. This past year, most of my Christmas gifts were purchased online and in one day. Now that my shopping has “gone mobile” I can shop on the go! Bring on the instant discounts and easy to find gifts! My phone is fully charged and ready to shop.
